Mr. Kee, born Juan C. Oliva to San Francisco’s Mission District, recognized his passion for music was his driving force. At age 17 Kee started his first record label; Sticky Style Records following the blueprints laid by independent bay area gurus E-40 & JT The Bigga Figga & released his debut EP, Livin’ On the Ultimate High. Mr. Kee's second independent album, From The Womb To The Tomb, released under the group moniker I.T.P.G., highlighted his reputation for his dynamic vocal presence coupled with his in-depth story telling abilities and led to his signing with the compilation powerhouse, Black-N-Brown Entertainment, becoming their first and premier solo artist. 14 Kt. Dreams, Kee’s debut LP, sound scanned 13,000 units & featured some of the bay area's elite, including B-Legit, 11/5, C-Bo, SPM, & Baby Bash. The following release, F.E. The Saga Begins success landed Kee appearances on over 100 albums in the bay area & down south. The Latin Plague, Kee’s next release, spawning hits like “Tequila Bodyshots”, “Nasty Mind”, “Hydro” and “It's On You”, showcased his versatility further proving he is more than capable & deserving of taking his talent nationwide and joining the illustrious ranks of the very few Latin rappers to transcend all boundaries. In 2004 Kee released The One under his own record label, Uprise Music Group, followed by his Doin’ Too Much mixtape. Kee’s next venture, The Soldierz of Fortune, is a battalion of raw bay area rappers, R&B artists & producers handpicked by Kee himself. S.O.F.’s talent was presented on his next mixtape, Bay Area 51 which featured the radio hit, “Cali Clap.”
Kee has received nominations from the 1st Annual BARS Awards for Best New Underground artist & Best New Underground Album.
Kee later joined forces with an unlikely silent business partner & opened Mr. Kee’s Gas Chamber Digital Recording Studio in December 2005.
Presently Mr. Kee & S.O.F. is working under the newly formed label Money-N-Muscle Entertainment along with Jazzy Management.
